I was just opining to my sister the other day that I thanked God for Biden in 2020 bc if we didn't have that AT THE VERY LEAST we could (and now seems likely would) still be in the grips of Covid. He allowed us to implement the vaccine and saved lord knows how many lives. JFC I hate this timeline.

What it is really is other countries will get the Nobels and the contracts and the kudos and we'll be behind every curve imaginable. Hard to continue to tout "the greatest" when we're last in everything.
When the inevitable happens, and people are dying from shit that this research could have saved I don't want to see the people responsible confronted with an "I told you so".
