On Transgender Day of Remembrance, we honor the lives of our transgender community members who have been taken from us. Transgender Day of Remembrance (TDOR) is an annual observance that uplifts the memory of transgender people whose lives were lost as a result of anti-transgender violence.

I’m the daughter of a World War II Veteran, so honoring those who served is personal to me. Today, I hosted a luncheon at the Getty House to recognize Veterans who found relief from the streets and moved into stable, permanent housing through the House Our Vets program.

LAPD is contacting residents at those impacted properties.
