These anti mask sentiment articles are just ableist and racist. I'm disabled, got worse after I got COVID again in 2024, I mask and barely go out. I'm accidentally a model minority (disabled, queer, business owner, homeowner). Just say outright you want us dead. FFS it's so tedious.

We are having an ongoing drama trying to return a washer dryer, the company is being difficult. But besides that, one of their workmen came to our house at 8.30am unannounced!!! My wxfe let him in because they didn't know what else to do. Men really don't know/care how creepy they are do they.

Yeah I paid by credit card for this reason. The last letter we sent gives 7 days to respond and then I'll call my credit card provider. They've been very helpful in the past.

Uggghh. I'm Sheffield so just outside of it, thankfully we don't get insulted often. We are dealing with a fault washer-dryer the company won't take back though. Not always finding companies to be super professional.

I had this when I enquired about doors. I specifically put in my enquiry not to call (I'm always in client meetings). One company emailed and called four times in a day, then five times the next day. I blocked their number and emailed telling them to remove my information from their systems.

ALSO three grant applications are due around the same time, two on the same day. All open for a short window of time, all the while I've been sick. We've managed one of them, have given up on one for now and the third is tbc. I love trying to run a company while disabled.

I really dislike emails that say 'I will do xyz this week' because I know you absolutely won't (I try not to send these), but also not replying at all to professional stuff is pants guys. We're all working in similar conditions let's just be humans.

This might be telling you to suck eggs, but if you don't already, play with them every day for like 5-10mins if you can, around the same time in the day. It makes a huge difference to their happiness and all their quirks. If they don't play yet, try different toys out.

I have a cold so am not wording good. I'm in my late 30s so I've grown up with these images of white marble classics alongside reference books of pattern and ornamentation from the same era but for some reason the two don't seem to come together.

Thanks for replying! Purity was the word I had lost. I don't know if you know this, but when did people start collating ancient patterns? Was it the same type of people who thought sculptures were white marble? I find it hard to reconcile white marble, etc alongside the knowledge of ornamentation.

Some of my favourite foods and recipes have come from friends. I first had chicken and sweetcorn soup at my best friend's house when I was like 12, a Spanish friend taught me to make tortilla when we both briefly lived in Prague, and most recently my adobo fixation c/o @elainagmamaril.bsky.social 🥰

Noodle asked me to pick her up tonight. Big deal given she tends to do this with the other human more. 🥰

Me, Amelia, a slim white human with a brown mullet stands in a kitchen wearing colourful Pjs. I’m holding Noodle, a big cat with green eyes. Noodle has black splotches on her nose and head that are akin to cow print spots or like she dipped her nose in ink. Her front paws are draped over my shoulder and her ears are turned sideways. This is for a few reasons 1. She doesn’t like her photo being taken (but will tolerate it) 2. The stove fan was loud and her ears were tracking the sound 3. We were cooking chicken adobo and she wanted to find it and eat it so badly. Like so badly.

I don't know if you've seen similar with the terracotta warriors, they are colourful when dug up but degrade very fast. When I visited like 20 years ago scientists were working out how to stop them degrading. Made up ancient minimalist aesthetic is a weird one!
