Effective 1/20/25, the former US is now in full Idiocracy mode.
West coaster trying to figure out the mess that's happened over the past 10 years. Grew up on George Carlin albums, he was right about most of it. Ex Post #Posties. Pronouns are dude/bro.
Such a failed country now in so many ways, worse by the day. I struggle to even imagine the decline reversing and how many years / decades it would take to build from what the MAGA have destroyed. Food waste didn't start with them, but they threw gasoline onto the fire.
Wasted food – a symptom of larger problems.

"Policies such as immigration raids, tariff changes and temporary and permanent cuts to food assistance programs have left farmers short of workers and money, food rotting in fields and warehouses, and millions of Americans hungry." is.gd/PeoEI9
As US hunger rises, Trump administration’s ‘efficiency’ goals cause massive food waste
Despite the administration’s claim of streamlining the government to make its operations more efficient, a range of recent federal policies have, in fact, exacerbated food wastage.

I am truly thankful for these people who do the work that those who hate them won't/can't. I've known these people in real life, kind, gracious, and generous. The hard working part goes without saying. We owe them a tremendous amount of gratitude.

A: Given RFK’s romantic history, no. This guy would f—k JD Vance’s couch, he’s so hard up all the time. So why would he pass on sleeping with a statuesque blonde woman 40 years his junior? Because it’s wrong? HA!

This entire article needs to be read by everyone that is remotely aware of what is happening in real time. Awful, awful stuff. Thread really gets to the heart of it.
Absolutely no way to read this and not conclude that the Department of Justice has been deeply corrupted. And this is from a time when career lawyers were in place, pushing back against illegality. With firings and resignations, the politicization will just get worse.

This is the truth... The trades are going to be very good to those that put in some effort in the next decade or two. We are short all kinds of skilled tradespeople.
Layoffs in October were the highest since 2003

Amazon announced 14,000 layoffs. UPS announced 48,000. Intel 20,000.

Ford has 5,000 open mechanic jobs with 6-figure salaries due to shortages of skilled workers
