@gwillow.me I'm working with the British Fantasy Society to put on an online panel for Writing Muslim Fiction (not the final title) in Decembe. We have discussed the possibility of inviting you as a guest of honour. Would this be something you are open to?

I think most writers are crap at selling. "Buy my book if you feel like it. Or don't, it's up to you. You can probably find better books though, maybe even cheaper than this one."

It is stunning isn't it, alhamdulillah

I keep thinking back, about how I had to see all of those folks on the SFWA discord strategizing openly about how to say nothing about Palestine.

I did eventually write again. I still don’t know how to navigate this scene.

Every Friday, we meet a member of the BFS and peer deep into their soul (or, at least, a form they filled out). This week we're talking scripts and classic horror films with Clive Dawson, whose work you've likely watched at some point.

On a black background with flourishes of red dots and lines is the text: Meet the BFS members! Clive Dawson. Clive is pictured in the centre: a traditional corporate headshot of an older white man wearing a shirt

This is what happens when you let war criminals get away with their crimes. They will come back and do it again. I feel a lot of guilt about this. My generation was there, we watched it all happen and at some point we just gave up and forgot about him. Big mistake.

Yes, they are hosting it this year. But I'm not sure how they are going to register authors or track word counts

If you like your aliens terrifying, deadly and relentless, try these horror-tinged voyages into universes more dangerous than we could possibly have imagined, where it's not just the endless freezing void that will chill your blood.

I tried doing it back when it started but didn't have clear goals. This time, I plan on writing 50,000 words of the 2nd book in my Arabian Dreams trilogy "Ali Baba". But first I've got to complete the first draft of Alauddin (1st book in the Arabian Dreams trilogy.
