Our “unalienable” rights don’t come from God or the government.

Our rights are based on our willingness and capacity to seize them.

We obtain and maintain the rights we have only through collective struggle.

“…inequality spurs social polarization. In turn, polarization spurs mistrust in the legitimacy of the state. As political scientists have long noted, falling legitimacy creates a revolutionary situation.”

The biggest threats to democracy are not the commands of the demented dictator, but the eager willingness of his sycophants to carry them out.

No autocrat has intrinsic power. Their power is derived from the support of other elites.

Healthcare is a human right. Safe, affordable housing is a human right. Nutritious food is a human right.

Are these values the Democrat Party stands for?

If so, they need to say it, and not stop saying it.

By now it should be clear that we cannot rely on the Constitution, the law, or formal rights to protect us.

Those with power interpret the Constitution, make the laws (and break them) & grant our rights (or don't).

We need to learn how to more effectively wield OUR power—people power.

“A major outburst of protester violence would be disastrous, diverting attention from the message of support for victimized communities. That’s exactly what the White House is hoping for…”

It is possible to nonviolently overthrow a dictator. Dozens of other countries have done it.

Where is the Democrat Project 29?

Just obstructing Trump's agenda will not get us healthcare, childcare, affordable housing and food security.

Democrats need to embrace a vision of a more equitable country, or they will forever be nothing more than a feckless alternative to fascism.

What’s it going to take to get to mass strikes?
General strikes can have a tremendous impact, but they require an organized majority, solidarity and resources to weather repression.

Being right does not guarantee success.

Good intentions are not enough.

Victories—and real change—come from carefully planned, strategic campaigns.
