Historians have debated, and will continue to debate, the role oil did or did not play in the Iraq War disaster. They may do the same for Venezuela--but this time the people steering us into war explicitly say it's about oil, so maybe we should take them at their word.

Almost everything Trump has done, and which so many people seem so surprised by, was entirely predictable if you were paying just a little bit of attention in 2024. The fact that millions of people weren't is why we're in this mess.
