We're one step closer to a Darkseed II remaster.
Big fan of Xillia forcing you into consecutive solo sections early on. Really had me sweating over passive skills, free running and guarding in a way I haven't felt since that one solo Yuri fight in Vespy. If anything, I wish they dragged them out longer, great way to build tension and lock in.

You don't need me to tell you this is yet more good money being burned after bad. But as someone who's worked with that QA team, I'll say they're unsung heroes who truly play a huge role in maintaining SE's reputation for high quality locs and to attempt to replace them with AI is deeply insulting.

I'm only 10hrs in, but so far it feels close to Vesperia on the Graces f <-----> Symphonia remaster scale 🤔
I haven't noticed it much on the right stick. Maybe because I only have 2 shortcuts currently, tied to forward and down. But as everyone mentioned, it's a thin line between forward and jumping on the left stick. It's REALLY noticeable when trying to adjust the battle camera...
The models look pretty dang clean! Audio balance feels off, some cutscenes have minor jank and skits + their fonts look cheap... no idea if these are OG PS3 issues, or a byproduct of bringing it over to the Unity engine. Controls feel a little sensitive too.

Still, enjoying it a lot so far!

It turns out that co-op benefits greatly from having one armatized player (character fusion) and another player supporting with attribute weaknesses and spells. Damage output starts low, but grows exponentially during stuns and attribute weakness combos. Gear skill that raised stun damage was peak.

Now I find it easier to appreciate what Zestiria offers; A stronger focus on 2-player co-op with character fusions, attack RPS & Graces' quicksteps encouraging better understanding of enemies, run variance via equipment drops a'la modern Team Ninja, and its sense of humor resonated with me.
