i dont blame you!! i say this as someone who has a small dog who is always leashed in public and does not accompany me to coffee shops and the like lol. he be at home, where he belongs

exactly! biting is not the only issue posed by dogs coming up unwanted and unleashed. its just one possible problem, not the only problem

my partner was there so he told the guy to put his dog on a leash. the dude once again DID NOT SAY ANYTHING and simply ignored us (yes, he was.) but he did comply

dude made no attempt to get his dog and just brushed it off like it wasn't being aggressive a foot away from me. ive never felt like more of a karen in my life and had every intention of telling a park ranger or cop if i saw one. dogs run off sometimes but to shrug off your dog's aggression? nahhh

last week an off-leash german shepherd mix cornered me at a beach and barked/growled. when i screamed, the owner who was fishing and NOT PAYING ATTENTION said he doesnt bite. i yelled that i dont care if the dog doesnt bite if it's barking right in front of me. the owner just shrugged. i was SO MAD

Letting your dog off leash in an unenclosed, populated area is dangerous, and no one should do it. Animals are inherently uncontrollable and difficult for most people to read.

if you give money to someone unhoused, it is no longer yours to decide what to do with it. they have a right to choose how to spend it and how to cope with being unhoused. this includes self-medication

I think you should have to have a special license to drive a pickup truck that you get after an extra series of training classes. You want to drive a big stupid killing machine that barely fits on the road, okay, but you have to learn how it works first, and periodically refresh your training.

i went back to my seat so idk how the rest of the conversation went but they did talk for a little bit and then dude walked off smirking, putting on his sunglasses, and he was gone. easily the smoothest stranger i have ever seen operating in real time. i hope they fall in love

i think i might be witnessing a meet-cute in real time. im at a coffee shop and a girl is talking to her barista friend, who asks how spanish is going. the girl answers. then a Bachelor asks her (in spanish, smooth as hell) if she speaks spanish. she dropped a hair clip. he picked it up. what next!
