People often talk as if residential schools are a thing of the past. They aren’t.

Sept. 30th marks National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, also Orange Shirt Day. That said, we Indigenous people live with that history everyday. I'm a child and grandchild of survivors of the residential schools.

Please take time today, if you can, to reflect and learn about the history.
