FFX really was a Goldilocks game that managed to be new and fresh and dynamic whole still holding onto the tenants that made Final Fantasy so iconic. Beyond that and the games started drifting farther and farther away from what the franchise was established to be.
Same. The older I get the more I appreciate X. I was just watching a video on someone doing a platinum max celestial weapons speed run and was just struck by how big the game was and how many different things you can do. And most of it is a joy to accomplish.

There's literally no use to this, however, since the fights end in 3 hits and are non-replayable.

I was always a big fan of Fox characters. Mainly Miles Tails Prower and the Pokémon Ninetales. What started as a Sonic OC to self-insert myself into sprite comics turned into a deep dive into furry dynamics and personality, with the end result being that I reaffirmed myself as a fox.
