up until this marathon (my third, my first in 11 years, i PR’d by ~one minute) i had not previously Considered Age but hey you know what i ran faster now than some foolish 25 year old could manage so let us celebrate that i guess

there is something really specifically frustrating about missing an intended marathon goal time, bc there’s almost no way anybody you talk to about it understands why you’re disappointed in yourself. i need more runner friends probably, but also runners are A Lot.
