As I look back over the Pathika manuscript in preparation for the preview coming out, it's interesting how different it was to write the main text compared to the module the book comes with. They come from like two different modes of both writing/design and reading.

100% this and also I think these AI bros don’t get that there there are a ton of little micro ideas and decisions that are happening on the way from conception to finishing. It’s not all just follow through from the equivalent of a prompt. The steps in the process inform the whole concept.
& this nonsense that whomever has “the most ideas the fastest” is “the most creative” is ridic. There’s ppl with 1,000 ideas for paintings yet will never paint The Starry Night. An idea and $2.90 will get you a ride on the subway in NYC.

I feel a lot of people's hate for roguelikes come from only playing modern interpretations that have little to offer besides victory / defeat.
Even Hades relies on narrative & meta progression to make "bad RNG" tolerable. Meanwhile, it's legit fun to die in weird ways in Caves of Cud, ToME4 or DCSS

I know I was the 3rd quietest CHC Boss in #OVER/UNDER... BUT I would love to join chats, interviews, etc. about the game. Unlike a lot of folks, I got to experience both the Denizen and Boss levels of the game which I think is a pretty unique experience!

What a final day in #OVER/UNDER. Got a thread of thank you messages from the cowboys. Wrote my thank you speech to them. Went to a gay wedding where I ended up technically married to one of the grooms as well. CHC hit its win conditions. We got to spend hours finally spilling all our secrets. ❤️
