I make tabletop RPG stuff. The most popular thing I've made has been Procedures to Discover the Path Ahead.

About me:
I make adventures and other supplements in the roughly NSR side of OSR; I also play a lot of "story games" (recently: BitD, Wanderhome) and a variety of types of solo games. A lot of what I've been writing lately has been for Cairn or for a non-specific OSR-type system.
I made a list of all the blog posts and other permanent-ish artifacts I could find for #over/under

It's largely for my benefit (hence the "to read" section at the bottom) but other people might find it useful too

Well I missed the boat getting Belle of the Bog in Drivethru's Black Friday sale, but I'll put it on discount for the same term regardless. If you want a digital copy, it's half off!

"Players reported dreaming about Over/Under, losing sleep, even forgetting to eat."

@lincodega.com writes about the intensity of Mothership Month's hyperbaric roleplay experience and the bleed that resulted from a lack of conventional safety tools.
Thirty Days of Bleed
Within a high-pressure, nonstop roleplaying game, denizens of Over/Under found it difficult to extricate their character’s emotions from their own.

This has been one of the best little oracle table books for my games. You get little tables for generating villages and towns, what kind of regional dishes they make, NPC personalities, etc.

When you're GMing and need a sudden detail or factoid it's a great tool to help save on creative fatigue.
Oh yeah here is my OSR walking simulator

featuring a table of random legumes, which seemed to particularly resonate with people

There's still two blog posts I want to write for O/U

One is about asynchronous RP in O/U (I have a bit of that in the art post)

i also finally got around to assembling all my #OVER/UNDER possessions into a small Melody McGinn-themed loot table, in case your Prospero's Dream players ever need to steal a bunch of my stuff :D

I guess I never did share it on here, but #over/under made me write a blog, so, for those of you who want *yet another* account of some random denizen's time on the Dream, here it is:

Over/Under
So. I just finished playing the game Over/Under. For those of you who don't know what that is, it was a month-long, real time, play-by-post (PBP) game set on...

Oh I am making a video game adaptation of my OSR walking simulator (putting some JavaScript on a web page) but it is going very slowly
Currently you can walk in a straight line. Eventually you will be able to make choices but apparently that is a lot more complicated

I have written a new blog about what an OSR is. I am told there is a lot of discourse about this, but am confident that this should settle the matter once and for all.

Lol I just realized I literally wrote an OSR walking simulator and it's the most popular thing I've made
As an addenda:

I have been told that NSR is a thing that exists, and that an NSR is when an OSR is a "Story Game" and or has pronouns in it. A "story game" is like what if a TTRPG was a Walking Simulator. At the risk of expressing an opnion that will get me killed: I think walking simulators rock.

finally decided to divide the games listed on my website into "good" and "less good" categories though that is not what I called them

does anyone know, if I add past blog posts to my RSS feed, will they show up as new in RSS readers? I want to backfill my RSS feed but not like spam everyone who follows me
November 27, 2025 at 1:35 AM
In group 2! Along with everyone else it seems

What I've learned from this is:
- I should probably link to other blogs more (I do actually have a page that is most of the blogs I follow but it's not on RSS)
- Maybe I shouldn't trim my RSS feed?
Spent the last month mapping the blogosphere by its links. The graph is finally ready

Communities clump into a big hex and the whole thing looks like a star map

What are blogs anyway but stars in the sky?

I've also been running a mini cataphracts tutorial for like 10 people, or rather setting one up, constrained to 2 weeks, and I am already a bit worried about having horribly messed that up, so glad I didn't jump right into a full sized cataphracts game
November 26, 2025 at 9:01 PM
I wonder if I should try and crowdfund this next year
Oh I should probably actually link it

It's here and currently completely free

I've been trying to sell games to people since 2017. By far the hardest part is getting distributors to get back in touch with you. I opened an FLGS partially because of my experiences getting ghosted. If you've written a game and want help getting it out HMU. I respond to emails!

Made a blog post where I put all the art/low effort photoshops/etc that I made for over/under, minus a few particularly low effort things.

I also wrote up the entire Ominous Plant storyline

in case I have given the impression I am good at politically oriented wargames

in a recently completed game of Cataphracts based on Romance of the Three Kingdoms, I played a second son of the emperor plotting to usurp my older half-brother

is there any sort of decent way to gauge interest in reprints other than doing a whole crowdfunding changing things slightly type deal

one thing I love about bluesky is spam accounts wildly misunderstanding your game related posts
