I think I understand the sentiment of what you're saying (community-led initiatives are better suited to serve communities' needs), but what I don't understand is where community activists get the capital for UBI without infusion from government or billionaires.

Earlier this year I realized I'd passed a milestone: I've been fully cognizant of my sexuality and out of the closet more years than I was ever unaware, in denial, and/or in the closet.

That recognition feels really good.
