I post the triathlon news stories that you won't read about in the other main sports news. I'm particularly interested in how the sport is developing across the world. I'm not a triathlete now, but I was for 20+ years. Raced in the UK, USA, Germany etc.

And i'm here. If you are interested in the type of triathlon news that the main news doesn't cover, that's my thing.

I use a perl script to scrape results from Google News. Read through them daily, post interesting stuff that's not in the mainstream reporting.

ironman, T100, Challenge, duathlon

But if you qualified for the Olympics you could also put in for one of the sailing events...

Did you consider modern pentathlon?

4 types of ironman(someone who has finished one.)

1. The type that is single
2. The type that wants to be single
3. The type that will be single
4. Someone whose partner has an extreme hobby

No 70.3 doesn't count.

I assume everyone who follows triathlon press and websites will have heard about Natalie Grabow, the 80-year old who finished Ironman Kona.

Her story is here with a number of other great stories about women in triathlon.

We've all been there.... I did the Tampa 10k and convinced a stranger whose wife was racing to look after my bike gear while I raced so I could ride 40k back to St Pete Beach afterwards

I cried, such awe inspiring women racing until risking their lives for a paltry $125k

while showing the new CEO Scott DeRue cozying up the Omanis for $40 million is just vile.

I'm a longtime critic of Ironman and it was heartbreaking to watch Taylor Knibb sitting in the road in such distress yesterday. I get Kona is hard, that doesn't excuse ironman from providing prompt medical attention.

At least Reece was there to help pull Lucy Charles Barclay.

Great posts on the women's Chicago Marathon, and a great ID to follow for Women's sports news.

Everyone watches women's sport!

Outside of the pro field, it looks like Rachel McCardell was the top woman at the Chicago Marathon, running 2:34:31.

She qualifies for the 2028 U.S. Olympic Marathon Trials, as do Maria Lindberg (2:34:59), Anna Kenig-Ziesler (2:35:25), Rachel Hyland (2:35:41), Kristin Dailey (2:36:08)...

I assumed you were in the UK, I'm an ex-pat living the life in Boulder Colorado. A mile high... Kat Matthews looked so good....

It's not late here... Kona meltdowns are so legendary, so many athletes. Hopefully LCB will bounce back.

Keely Hodgkinson closes out her season with a 1:56.53 800m win at Athlos.

She has been consistently good throughout her season, which was shortened due to injury. Excluding prelims, she ran 1:54 twice, 1:55 once, and 1:56 once.

It's a cultural experience if you live in a country where it's so damp and cold most of the time...

This is Israel's problem, you can't rebrand out of the deaths or injury of 50,000 children, or 2.1 million women and girls in need of aid or in the 179,750 injured. Cosmetics won't fix them.

Well done Derek Gee!
Summary of announcement reads: It strengthens my belief that leaving the team was the right decision, regardless of the recent
announcement of branding changes and cosmetic structural shifts.

As many enter winter strength blocks, we may feel limited by the equipment we have at home, especially if trying to replicate gym exercises.

But we really are only limited by our imaginations.

Here’s a simple way to copy some common gym exercises using a broom and band.

Progress > perfection 💪🧠

Two years ago I was zonked out for eight hours so they could basically reboot my heart to fix an atrial fibrillation (AFib). It worked and my heart now beats normally and healthily.

I had no symptoms and would've never known that I had an AFib had my PCP not done an EKG during an annual checkup.
