That's cheered me up. I still absolutely love this film!

Autumn at #rutlandwater #parkrun and on the volunteer roster today. I really enjoy barcode scanning as I get to chat to people after finishing their parkrun.

Looking forward to our 10th anniversary event next week - rumour has it there will be cake!!

And the same church has a Saxon tower. Love seeing living history like this in buildings we still use today!
Aww...! It was nice to see you both today. Hope you're joining us next week for our 10TH ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATIONS!!!

*There will be cake!

Successful mini-adventure on the Brompton - train trip to the office and back home.

Easy enough most of the way (except lugging it over the stepped bridge at Stamford station) and good fun ambling through Peterborough, which is actually very bike-friendly!

Off on a new mini-adventure today...!

Hoping all runs smoothly 🤞
A definite side-benefit of getting back to running... Welcome back to the Thursday Night Chip Run! Have really missed this (and the lovely company, obviously!).

Bonus light show at Normanton church this evening!

Love this....!

London is proud to host Japan's Grand Sumo Tournament this week - it's fantastic to see the the teams using our cycling infrastructure to get around.
To add to the dishwasher, coffee machine, washing machine, D's car and my car tyres, we now add this - glass broken on the oven door 🙄.

Honestly, it's been an insanely expensive six weeks.... 😬. Christmas officially cancelled this year!

I now so want a slice of homemade viccy sponge....!

Exquisite artwork ❤️
Not this time - achilles healing well but taking my time rather than rushing it back. Hoping to break 10 years of stop/start progress by actually giving it time to heal properly!

5 months off and lots of physio - just easing back into walk/run parkruns now. Fingers crossed for next year!
Home after a really nice weekend in Manchester with my running buddy. Had a great time - heavy metal ballet, parkrun, crazy golf, urban regeneration gardens in the sky and grilled cheese sandwiches. What more could you want?!

Pleased with this snap from Salford Quays last night 😍
Cannot recommend this thread highly enough.

I have no words.....
Mr Brazil starts us off inoffensively enough with a fairly boring suit but my goodness he's selling it with that walk. He does get a bonus point for the suit clearly fitting though, because as you will see that is not always a given...
Oh, I've missed you posting these - used to adore them when I was little!

😂😂

D did mention that he had to hose it down when he got home...!
Fab, glad to hear that it went well and he wasn't a mobile hazard!!

Think he got his fastest parkrun time in about 5 years!
Autumn colour at lovely Wythenshawe #parkrun in Manchester with my running buddy 😍.

Still rehabbing the achilles and being careful but first sub-35 in ages, with walk breaks every km. Really pleased with that and enjoyed the atmosphere!

Unexpectedly wonderful night out at the Lowry with my lovely friend, watching Black Sabbath: The Ballet.

Really shouldn't work. Really, really did.

What an awesome show. Definitely worth a visit if you get a chance.

Second new tyre in three weeks fitted on my car this morning. Frustrating as I only drive it once or twice a week, and rarely do more than 3000 miles a year, preferring to e-bike where I can.

Garage said the problem was tyre wall damage. They're seeing a lot of it due to our appalling roads 🙄.
I had at least half of these - and the others were in the school library anyway...!

Timeless stories and such wonderful illustrations ❤️
Smart coat and mucky face!
Rather you than me.... 🤮
I cannot tell you how excited I am about this.

Very. Just very excited. That'll do.

If you haven't read the Stranger Times series, go on - give yourself a treat. Laugh out loud funny and very, very clever. On Kindle too, if you're an e-book kind of a person 👍
Ring The Bells book 5 of The Stranger Times series is out today!! Available everywhere.
Well, not newsagents.
Or hairdressers.
Almost no nail saloons.
Come to think of it - book shops. Really mainly available in book shops.
In my more cynical moments I have wondered if this is actually the point...
