This means that it is now Labour’s official position that Israel is committing genocide.

While at the same time, the Labour government continues to arm that genocide

Absolutely extraordinary!

Politics in this country is like watching someone feed themselves to a shark

Lowering themselves slowly into its jaws while patronisingly lecturing weeping onlookers about why the shark will now go away

This is first time I’ve heard the govt making the Labour argument for controlling immigration.

Mahmood argues that controlling our borders is good for race relations, because uncontrolled immigration is feeding far right rhetoric and tensions.

Expect to hear a lot more of that.

It's the scientific community's duty to fight misinformation, bioessentialism, and eugenics

That's why we're launching Beyond X&Y, an educational campaign combating the rise of unscientific political propaganda used to attack trans and intersex people

Everyone: What's government doing about the cost of living crisis, the climate crisis, and the unfolding genocide in Gaza?

Labour: "We will mandate people carry Brit cards".

This government's priorities are painfully out of touch and increasingly authoritarian.

Unless the government introduces PR, there will be a far right government in power in 2029. And like the compliant liberals they always were, the Labour party are building the administrative tools to help those fascists round you and your friends up for deportation. Frightening.

One of the unexpected things I've learned from my advocacy for trans people is how malignant parts of the State can be, how it can misuse data for positively evil purposes. It's taught me people can't be safe with a digital ID card and so I've signed this. petition.parliament.uk/petitions/73...
Petition: Do not introduce Digital ID cards
We demand that the UK Government immediately commits to not introducing a digital ID cards. There are reports that this is being looked at.

“Let’s call it for what it is: bullshit. The truth is, politicians have talked about little else but immigration for decades and in the most dehumanising ways.

Polanski added: “Stop the boats’ is all we hear. Well, today I'm saying ‘stop the bullshit’.”

UK faces ‘battle for the soul’ of the country, says Starmer amid Reform threat
In a rallying cry to progressives around the world, the Prime Minister said allies must stop the ‘politics of predatory grievance’.

Starmer says past governments have been "squeamish" talking about immigration. Bullshit.

Starmer isn't bravely breaking a taboo. He's blaming vulnerable people & deflecting attention from the super rich who hoard power & wealth.

These rooms should be filled with newborn cries, the beeping of monitors, pregnant women being cared for, patients finding relief amid a genocide.

Instead, these rooms now stand empty because MSF was forced to evacuate our last functioning health facility in Gaza city.

Widespread transphobia in the UK is making their policies on sexed spaces increasingly confused and incoherent.

Don't believe me? Let's try a little thought experiment...

🚨 BREAKING | Wes Streeting confirms Labour is actively working to BAN trans women AND trans men from female spaces, describing their presence as "unpleasant".

Streeting confirmed to MumsNet that Labour aims to exclude ALL trans people from single-sex spaces.

It is disproportionate to the point of absurdity to treat people sitting peacefully in a group holding signs as ‘terrorists’.

People are outraged by the genocide in Gaza and are entitled to express their horror.

The proposed EHRC guidance is more extreme and discriminatory than the anti-trans regulations currently in place in any US State.

The current assault on trans healthcare implemented by Starmer and Streeting is more comprehensive and extensive than that in place across the whole USA.

Trans people are not a threat to women’s safety.

Over 52,000 women have signed the open letter to say not in our name.

Will you join them?

The UK has recognised Palestine. It must now end its complicity in its destruction, and in the genocide of its people.

The truth: we need migration.

The problem: too many politicians are terrified to say it.

Why? They're led by a) toxicity of the charlatans & b) wealthy media organisations who demand these useful distractions rather than us talking about inequality.

Reject it. Draw the line.

I of course welcome the recognition of the state of Palestine.

And there won't be a Palestinian state left if government's continue enabling Israel's unfolding genocide.

Labour can't credibly support Palestinian statehood whilst also continuing to arm Israel.

After dying from an assassin's bullet, he was made into a martyr and a symbol of the party. There was a week of mourning, his funeral was filmed and played over and over, and anybody who spoke ill of him were beaten by party thugs.
I am talking about Horst Wessel, a Nazi who died in 1930. #History

The "student politics" thing really comes down to the fact that for most of our political and media class, the last time they had to deal with a left winger challenging them was when they were doing student politics themselves.
