The first book of my #isekai series Memes of the Prophets is available on Amazon, DriveThruFiction, and Lulu. It mixes commentary on Big Ideas, fantasy worldbuilding, and comedy into a strange tale of a catgirl trying to find her way in an Earth-obsessed world.

I like how there's a playable Jiangshi character in Vampire Survivors, and if you unlock him with a code, the code is "hophophophophophophophophophophophophop".

The Steam Deck looks neat but I pretty much only do couch gaming, so I was already hoping for something like the Steam Machine they just announced. Hopefully I can actually afford it, but they haven't announced pricing yet. www.pcgamer.com/hardware/val...

going on twitter now is like the dark world part of link to the past, where the shape of things is roughly the same only now instead of the friendly villagers there's some demihuman freak snarling at you going "welcome to the village of assholes!! we hate you!!" also the trees shoot bombs now

Taking a break from Hades to play the new Balatro-themed DLC for Vampire Survivors, even though by the end of each run my poor Nintendo Switch gets into "seconds per frame" territory.

I've done a ridiculous amount of research for my Xeroverse Tetralogy, and I think by trying to do a deconstruction of contemporary superhero blockbusters, I'm doing something that hasn't quite been done before. There's been all sorts of deconstructions, but nothing quite like this.

Getting back into writing M-Force: Messiah, which comments on the treatment of politics in superhero blockbusters and also has room for dumb nonsense like this.

I realized that there's a certain parallel between Fletcher Hanks' comics and Chick Tracts. Both are formulaic, and often involve an evildoer/sinner facing sadistic divine vengeance.

Holy shit I think I finished the first draft of Xero 2004. Writing a fake novelization interspersed with the fictional writer writing about the surreal mental breakdown he had while writing it kinda took over for a while. Safe to say it's going to be the most Lynchian part of the series.

At this point a lot of conspiracy theories serve the purpose of shifting the blame for the world's problems away from things conspiracy theorists value. Alex Jones essentially believes that conservatives are utterly blameless, and thus invents false flags and so on to maintain their halo.

Since the Xeroverse is going to have "Beelzebub" as a primal force of late-stage capitalist greed, I got a figure of the Helluva Boss version of Beelzebub, even though the butterfly fox demon party girl is rather different from the Beelzebub that'll be in my novels.

I got to see an advance screening of Guillermo del Toro's Frankenstein at a local Alamo Drafthouse, and it's just a phenomenal movie that captures the essence of the story by way of unique and original visuals.

There are people severely overestimating how much power the NYC mayor has, like after his inauguration Mamdani is going to have Hamas sweep through the city to enforce Marxism rather than, like, arguing with people about bus fares.

Since I'm planning to include Stardust the Super Wizard in the final Xeroverse book, I got the collection of the complete works of Fletcher Hanks, appropriately titled Turn Loose Our Death Rays and Kill Them All. There's nothing quite like it, though Dick Tracy is probably the closest.

There are certain things I wish would become part of the discourse. Right now that's the phrase "Sounds like you messed up!" in response to someone trying to shift blame. Like Elon talking about advertisers leaving Twitter, or Trump predicting disaster if his illegal tariffs get removed.
