Best TikTok thing going is the two dudes trying food from every country without leaving NYC. If you haven’t seen them yet, it’s incredible. My favorite so far is last week’s. Legit got me emotional.

I started using a tally counting app to track things like pages inked, writing sessions completed, etc. and I put it as a BIG widget on my phone home screen so it’s the first thing I see.
I find “number go up” is more compelling than “don’t break the chain” for things I want to do more often.

For creative folks working on their projects, or really anyone doing anything, reply or QT with something that you tried in 2025 that WORKED for you.
I'll start: Couple days a week, built a writing stop into the "take the kid to school" routine, before coming back home, before checking email.

My band were cooling off in a green room backstage when Chris Hemsworth strode in, grabbed some carrot sticks from the craft services table and strode back out.

Catching a train from Bristol Temple Meads, but they shifted the service along the platform because a scene from THE OUTLAWS was being shot where it would usually come in. The scene featured Christopher Walken and Stephen Merchant, but my train came before they shot it so I didn't see either of 'em.

Splurged a bit on some new equipment for a new bass rig.
I used to lug a 6x10 speaker cabinet the size of a small refrigerator and a 50 lb Ampeg SVT power amp from gig to gig.
This new setup will weigh around 30 lbs in total but can still crank out 500 pants-flapping watts at peak. 🤘
