And I think that both of the "worst" runbacks make so much sense in the world of the game, one of them is basically the last boss of the first part and the other you are literally in the worst place on Earth where every single thing wants to kill you, of course its gonna be hard!

With this thread I think I just mean people give From Software games (and other more realistic looking games as well) the courtesy of being dark fantasy and feel like a dreadful world where you have to struggle through, but don't give the same courtesy to this one

I get kinda annoyed with some criticism on Silksong because a lot of them is "I don't want to do this so it's bad" without considering if doing that particular thing fits the game or not

like part of the design of the game is figuring out the best route to run back to the boss, for example

I think it's important to figure out the reason for certain aspects of that piece of art before saying "well it's bad because it annoys me"

Are you good enough to get the fastest route even if it might have more enemies? Would you rather save on resources even if it takes longer to get there? Are you curious enough to find that perfect shortcut that will give you fast AND safe?

is the run back kinda annoying? Sometimes, yeah, but figuring out the fastest way to get there and weighting fast x safe IS part of the game, it requires strategizing on your part
