Been having lots of fun with Digimon Story: Time Stranger. It can get a tad grindy in places, but it's far more cohesive and fun than a certain other game I've played this week.

Just wait until they find out about the pansexual genderfluid pink blob that's been around since gen 1!

So proud of the people in my area. Large turnouts at each of the #NoKings rallies I attended today, especially at the State House. Of course we had hecklers try to disturb the peaceful protesting, but they were largely ignored by the crowd.

The more I play it, the more I hate it. #PokemonLegendsZA is by far the worst Pokemon game ever made. I paid $70 for it, when it's really worth $40 (and that's being generous), so I am going to finish it. Underdeveloped and overrated in all regards.

And it'll be trade credit for my next game.

I've also tried it on both the Switch and Switch 2. No noticeable performance issues on the Switch 2. However, the Switch suffers from framerate issues, slow loading times, animation slowdowns, and NPCs that pop-in instead of spawning at greater distances.

Z-A was intended for the Switch 2.

However, there are some nice QoL changes.

TMs, unlike Scarlet/Violet, once earned, have unlimited uses. Wild Pokemon, once defeated, remain on the field briefly and allow you to capture them. No more worrying about knocking them out or having to keep false swipe around.

I'm only a few hours in, but #PokemonLegendsZA is shaping up to be a mid game. These wild areas have a limited variety of Pokemon and they feel small and cramped. Lumiose City can be an aggravating maze. And the real--time battles are a tad awkward.

They damaged their reputation with me. Might as well damage their rep with everyone else shopping. That right there costs them more than an apology gift card.

I wonder how many protection plans they lost today...

I appreciate it, but I think I drove the point home by having that interaction in front of a customer full of stores. There's only one GameStop left in the state and everyone shops here. Some people put their stuff back on the shelves and left. And I hope those still waiting in line were listening.

It was five bucks that I didn't want to spend, but the loss of five bucks isn't worth the trouble of calling their customer service line. Whatever happened to giving the customer the choice?

Anyway, I'd rather call out GameStop's deceitful practices fueled by the need to meet quotas.

I didn't check the receipt until I sat down on my car and, sure enough, there was a five dollar plan tacked onto my purchase.

I went back inside, the associate at the counter refused me a refund for the plan. Even the manager said no and that it wasn't their fault that I didn't pay attention.

So now GameStop doesn't even ask you about protection plans anymore. They just slap it on and charge you. Something seemed off about the total—figured I made a minor math error on my head— when the employee skipped the itemized list and went directly to the payment screen.

I never ever trust a 10/10 review for a game. They feel like paid reviews to ensure a healthy consumer base. 9s leave me suspicious. I'm more interested in the 7s and 8s because those address the flaws without vague, dismissive language.

Right now, Legends Z-A is looking like a mid Pokemon game.
