Biking today was only 5.5km, which was so nice with fall weather. And also more than 5 minutes *faster* than taking the same route yesterday, by car.

Climate change also contributes to a lot of the migration to Europe. It is a problem that will only get worse as climate change accelerates. And we seem to be doing less than nothing about both issues, other than demonizing the people who have the misfortune to be affected already.

New: Apple banned an app that simply archived videos of ICE abuses. Rather than other apps that record ICE official's real-time location, Eyes Up is to "preserve evidence until it can be used in court." Videos from TikTok etc. Every submission manually reviewed

We all know that society needs to address the problem of guns and mass shootings. But the idea that women are to blame for men feeling alienated *should* be dismissed. Shifting the blame to women means the problem won't get fixed.

I wonder if the loss of morale is deliberate. There is an element of missionary psychology in this - send them into an uncomfortable environment to reinforce "us vs them" and make them feel more loyal when they get home.
