Woke up with the thought, 'It's Friday and I have the entire weekend off!😃', rolling through my head, and was happy until the adult part of my brain woke & said, 'no, it's Monday & you're working Saturday.'
And that happy lil part slumped down & dragged itself off.

Sigh. I hate Mondays.

That's as decorated as it gets, poor lopsided tree. 😅

Still not in the holiday mood. I gave up on Christmas music shortly after I started pulling everything out of the boxes because it was grating to my ears.

A strangely lopsided tiny tree rests on a hidden table beside a large window. It has a lit star on its off-center top branch, with a handmade angel on the star's top ray, and is wrapped in colorful lights. There are various handmade decorations scattered around the branches, some small animal stuffies, and a few antique glass baubles. Underneath its very high bottom are small square holiday themed boxes, a few Mini Cooper cars with trees strapped to the roof, and a few more stuffies. At the base of the table are a bunch of piles metal cookie boxes with yet more stuffies.

Took a box out to the balcony & heard the resident squirrel chattering. I looked to see what had it so upset & (barely) spotted the neighbor's cat. I waited for a betterish photo to easily spot her/him.

Grudgingly decorating Tiny Tree today. I am not in any kind of holidayish mood, even with the Peanuts Christmas Special album playing.
Maybe it'll be better once this place is decorated for the season. I guess I'll see.

Maybe some rum & eggnog will help.

Re-reading Chaos Reigning, the 3rd book in the Rebellion trilogy by Jessie Mihalik, and it is off with a bang! 😀

The Second Window. Once upon a time, there was a green-eyed Tabby Cat who ran a bookshop by the Christ Church gate of Canterbury Cathedral. It was a marvellous place, four stories high, with treasures on every shelf & free buttered toast, plum cake & hot sweet tea for all who visited.

Brought my Christmas boxes indoors today & will pick up a small tree on Tuesday, although I probably won't decorate until the wknd.

Boxes stacked on the tan carpeted floor. The black box with brass-type corner caps on the left belonged to my grandparents and is constructed of some unknown material; it's not metal, nor wood, and certainly not plastic since it dates back to the late 40s, at a guess. My mom gave me the white tub many years ago; not nearly as sturdy as my grandma's box, but it holds memories that are dear to me, since all of them are now gone.
