This is 40% less than the Trump Admin spent to bail out Sec Bessent’s buddies who were bag holders of Argentine sovereign debt.
The fight tonight was over about $25 billion. Thats about 2.5% of the Defense budget. Would cover a year of the enhanced ACA credits. Republicans said that’s unaffordable.

My experience of the promotion of veganism started in the late 80s/early 90s in LA. Vegans were intolerable scolds. Note that the nasty scold was also the villain in ever 80s teen movie. I see it as a marketing problem: make it more about personal health than sacrifice about saving the environment.

The thing about the "I voted against this" position Schumer is taking is that either he is trying to mislead Dem voters by implying he didn't support reopening right now, or he has no control over his caucus.

💯 reminds me of my father when he suffered from Alzheimer’s. My dad would hear a snippet of a topic on the news and then conflate it into an exaggerated and distorted version of reality.
Trump on Newsom: "He did something even worse than that. He's now taking a big section of Palisades or some area and he's gonna build low income income where they used to have luxury housing."
