It's a very fair question and one that plenty of AEW fans have shown interest/concern over the past week. It may be a query that needs pushed multiple times but at least it can't be answered with "we're having a great 2025".

I'll debut as a "fun loving" face, which comes with a lower mid-card ceiling.

Then I'll turn heel saying this is the "real me".

Absolutely. Even if the Max numbers were a fraction of the rough estimates released awhile ago, it would still push them over what XT is doing. But as you say, that doesn't fit the narrative.

Feel we've gotten the short stick with media coverage of pro wrestling. I know Max numbers are hard to come by but I'm seeing more and more articles or comments that assume they aren't a factor. But why do research when you can just copy and paste an HBK pic and go home early, eh? #aew

The What chants at Toni were annoying as hell but it's the 'You can't Wrestle' directed at Kyle Fletcher that's really thrown me. At first I thought they were chanting that because OC refused to lock up but maybe I'm giving them too much credit and the crowd was just absolute ass. #aew
