I've enjoyed the first batch of Stranger Things, but I can't help but be amused-but-annoyed at the folks who are reacting negatively, but that negative is rooted entirely in the "this took too long/these kids are to old to play high schoolers".

When the show first came out and my son-- who was 16 at the time-- watched it, he was all, "Wait, is that really what it was like in the 80s? Just... riding your bikes through the woods, no one knows where you are?"

You know this was added after someone complained that the dead animal smell "kept coming back" and after a lot of back and forth they finally acknowledged that they didn't get rid of the dead animal first.

I just got one of those AI-powered Fake Marketer Wants To Promote Your Book Emails, but somehow instead of the actual title, the AI grabbed a hold of a phrase in the description blurb and decided that was the title. Which made said email read like even more of a fever dream.
