2/3 of the household have had or currently have the noro bug that’s doing the rounds. Currently sat feeling a bit peaky and assuming this large glass of red is antiviral.

Shout out still being able to use your phone with one hand(thumb). As god intended.
Owning an iPhone mini is great, a little owners club, you get to spot each other in public, all people of great taste and distinction and tendons that still function properly.

Edith has always kept to herself, mainly sleeping on one of the beds upstairs. Then over Christmas, we brought this chair downstairs for added seating… it’s her chair now.

The subzero temps persist, and today we’re joined by a very mild hangover. So dinner was a Cauli cheese pithivier, creamed leeks & cabbage and roasties. Coma ensues.

6 hour, 350 mile home today. Bairn falls asleep 5 mins from home just to ensure it messes up bed time. Classique.

My daughter, as we walked through the museum: “daddy look, Santa’s reindeer!”

With hindsight, prob should have skipped this section today.

The worst thing about Bluesky is that people can retweet their own tweets ad nauseam. I didn’t click like the first time, let it go.

I’m in this picture and I don’t like it.

The bairn just pointed at the stir fry sauce I prepped for dinner and proclaimed “I don’t like spices I just like normal food”. In other news, she wants a return to ‘common sense’ politics and loves her new blue passport.

Help, I followed a starter pack thing and now my feed is absolutely stuffed with NUFC chat.

I could not care less about NUFC chat. Help.

Listened to the first two Set Your Goals albums back to back in the car this eve for the first time in years and years. Lyrics remembered from TWBTDOA : 75%, from Mutiny: 85%, from Hayley Williams’ rap in The Few That Remain: 99%. Timeless.

Highly recommend a rough ferry crossing if you a) don’t fancy eating for 12 hours and b) want to feel that 3-4 pint wobble for a day after.

What is the charge? Eating some bits?

My favourite type of music? That bit in the last song of an album when the band calls back to lyrics/melodies from earlier in the album/their career.

Booked the bairn’s first trip abroad - taking the ferry to Amsterdam in November. To celebrate, baked a Dutch apple pie that she bugged me all day to help with then immediately got bored and wandered off halfway through step one of the process. Toddlers.

For about 5 years, this was the only thing I had bookmarked on my laptop. The greatest.
It has just been brought to my attention that the greatest ever video in this genre is, in fact, cat jump fail vs Sail by AWOLNATION...

Have these people never lost someone they care about? Do they not care for anyone? Absolute psychopathic behaviour.
Anyone who says they want to see the “complete and total eradication of grief” vastly overrates what bots will be able to do but also speaks to how tech solutionists misunderstand what it means to exist in the world. A hollow amalgam of a loved one’s utterances can never replace what is lost.
Back from the dead: could AI end grief? – video
Tech entrepreneur Justin Harrison is on a mission to fundamentally change how we experience loss, using artificial intelligence to recreate the essence of dead loved ones from their digital footprint....
