Owning an iPhone mini is great, a little owners club, you get to spot each other in public, all people of great taste and distinction and tendons that still function properly.

Edith has always kept to herself, mainly sleeping on one of the beds upstairs. Then over Christmas, we brought this chair downstairs for added seating… it’s her chair now.

Highly recommend a rough ferry crossing if you a) don’t fancy eating for 12 hours and b) want to feel that 3-4 pint wobble for a day after.

Booked the bairn’s first trip abroad - taking the ferry to Amsterdam in November. To celebrate, baked a Dutch apple pie that she bugged me all day to help with then immediately got bored and wandered off halfway through step one of the process. Toddlers.

Anyone who says they want to see the “complete and total eradication of grief” vastly overrates what bots will be able to do but also speaks to how tech solutionists misunderstand what it means to exist in the world. A hollow amalgam of a loved one’s utterances can never replace what is lost.
