Edith has always kept to herself, mainly sleeping on one of the beds upstairs. Then over Christmas, we brought this chair downstairs for added seating… it’s her chair now.

Booked the bairn’s first trip abroad - taking the ferry to Amsterdam in November. To celebrate, baked a Dutch apple pie that she bugged me all day to help with then immediately got bored and wandered off halfway through step one of the process. Toddlers.

Post work-event decompress in one of my favourite bars, King’s Arms in Bethnal Green. Reminds me of The Free Trade in Newcastle at its buzzy best, the beer is always excellent and the vibe is immaculate.

We’ve got a new dog walker since I’m out travelling more again. They often take a group to a field and just let them Gan Acka. Edie’s photos are often good but today’s was a particular corker.
