We received a desperate call from a police officer who found a tiny dog struggling to survive in the flooding waters.

At first, they thought she was simply a lost dog. But when we saw her… we knew this was not a lost dog, this was a victim of severe neglect and abuse.

This is the most incredible story - look at him when he arrived.

His story is proof of what unconditional love, compassion, and an extraordinary medical team can do when paired with an animal’s will to live.

Maisy's story is heartbreaking. This sweet mama gave birth to a single tiny puppy on the cold, wet, hard shelter floor and then, nothing but blood. She was rushed to the vet, where it was discovered she is severely anemic and in desperate need of an emergency C-section and blood transfusion.

Thanks to Republican legislators, a 55-year-old couple making $85,000 annually could see their health insurance cost more than triple, to $24,535 a year. Obviously that’s unaffordable, which is why so many will drop coverage.
