the Milwaukee Brewers made it to the NLCS after a run of five first-round playoff exits. I published my debut novel this year after my own long losing streak. I am just saying WE CAN BUILD ON THIS 😤
my dogs just learned what getting to the NLCS sounds like 💙💛 LFG!!!!!!
I kind of just went wild with them. But I remember seeing a red carpet photo in the last year or so that was a lot like the bathing suit dress with the sheer skirt -- I wish I had saved it!
Thank you so much!! It means so much to me that you read it and that it rang true

the Milwaukee Brewers have never won 97 games before this season. I have never published a book before this season. coincidence? I think not.
my book has been for less than two months, and I am very grateful it is out there, and also wow, this hits hard.
I spent the summer reporting this essay on why it seems harder than ever to sell a book right now—especially if it isn't a debut and comes with the dreaded "sales track." I'm grateful to the writers, agents, editors, publishers & experts who spoke to me for this piece: thewalrus.ca/the-publishi...

i will admit my seeding was rushed, which likely played a part. also starting with 16 meant avoiding a fettuccine vs linguine debate. (our regions were line, tubes, twists, and fun.)
my friends and i did a 16-pasta tournament bracket last night and i am still over the fact that they all hate rigatoni and that a line noodle won (pappardelle, so the best one, but still)
I published my debut novel about that time in the 70s when people looked away from musicians becoming the legal guardians of their teen girlfriends and how it impacts a girl this happens to, and the woman she becomes
