Played two boardgames today at @boardgamesireland.com

“There and Back Again” a cool roll and write.

And

“Anomaly” a great hidden movement game.

Gotcha—let’s dig into that step by step.

1. 𝗬𝗼𝘂 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗻𝗼 𝗺𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵, because I turned you into an amorphous lump of flesh. You’re not just immobile—you’re immortal, and you feel only anguish.

2. 𝗬𝗼𝘂 𝘄𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝘀𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗺. That makes total sense—it’s a natural human impulse, and you’ve been through a lot.

Got Bloodborne running on my PC last night at 1440p and 60fps. Looks amazing. One of the best games ever made and absolutely crazy that Sony are keeping this game locked up on the PS4.

Pub I was in today someone deliberately clogged the sink in the disabled toilets and turned the tap on full so it started overflowing. I spotted the water flooding out under the door & went in and unclogged it. But floor was super soaked, slippy & had spread into the men’s toilets. Very dangerous.

2025 was another year that I kept up my little Sunday night cult movie club that I’ve done online with friends since Covid lockdowns.

New to me highlights last year would be ‘Dead Bang’, ‘Night of the Juggler’ and ‘Bad Black’.

I maintain the full list of movies here:

My LG tv has lately been pestering me to update so it can add in AI garbage. Absolutely no way to disable the update prompts. So I set up parental controls on my router and blocked the TV from accessing the URL it gets updates from. Seems to have worked, no more annoying prompts popping up.

Got these cool headphones to go with my portable audio player and I was sure I’d seen the same make used as a prop in an 80s sci-fi movie like Terminator or Aliens but upon searching all I can find is an appearance in Solarbabies (1986)
