sure, there is an uncomfortably large cohort of resisters who are in it for egoistic & narcissistic reasons, above all for performing a ritual to exhibit their "style." so what? the aesthetics are paramount! would anyone argue with Mifune and Nakadai about being too stylish? I think not!

McLaughlin is actually head of communications for DHS. If she posts this ridiculous crap and doesn't take it down, I think that's a pretty good indicator of what DHS is actually doing. The Daily Beast article (unfortunately paywalled) is very good. Shows without doubt that it was ERO / DHS bust.

before www and mosaic we used TTY and Gopher protocol to dig around in University file systems. there was even a free dial-up service called "The Simpsons" for a while. hard to believe what has happened in 30 years!
