𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘚𝘤𝘢𝘳𝘭𝘦𝘵 𝘓𝘦𝘵𝘵𝘦𝘳 was one of the books we were assigned to read for 11th-grade American Literature. I was 16 years old and still fresh out of attending an all-girl Catholic school. I couldn't bring myself to read it again as an adult.
