I’m sorry that’s frustrating. You worked hard.

10 years ago I had my hardwood floors professionally sanded and resealed. Except the “pro” I hired didn’t know what he was doing. I couldn’t afford to hire another company to redo it. So my floors are rough and I have sealant splattered on the walls.

Here in Michigan, September was absolutely gorgeous weather: sunny, warm but not hot; just day after day of beautiful
…which to me felt like the quiet creepy part of a horror film before the monster strikes, because September weather here usually swings widely between warm and chilly, sun and rain.

How about the sexism? (But the badass heroine! the fans cry) The heroine expected her father to support the family financially, and when he didn’t, she did, seething the whole time, but as soon as she got to fantasyland she settled in to do what she wanted: nothing, while her man took care of her.
