The US president is a convicted felon and "liable" for sexual assault.

Forgive me if I'm not that upset about undocumented immigrants who are just existing peacefully in our country...

This picture of the white house in shambles with American flags waving nearby is actually a perfect reflection of the state of the US right now.
The White House is asking people not to share pictures of the East Wing because it’s even worse today.

the year is 2030. the white house remains half demolished because president trump refused to pay construction workers and musk gutted government spending. two thieves sneak into the white house using a truck mounted ladder and steal the constitution
Whenever I'm in a car with someone who's looking everywhere for the closest spot I'm like "we can walk...the furthest spot will be like one extra minute of walking..." and then they ignore me and spend 5 more minutes finding a spot 30 seconds closer.
Yes, and perhaps the saddest part is that nobody is even a little surprised.
Tonight the president of the United States posted a video of himself wearing a crown and flying a jet that dumps diarrhea all over the United States.

Seriously. He actually did this.
Why are far-right Christians the same everywhere? It's like a disease or something. Always with the persecution complex.
Important reportβ€”key to highlight is that counter-protestors against the Kirk memorial were peaceful, but were then attacked by event participants, and then the right-wing groups that put the event together started to smear the counterprotestors as violent
"'Turning Point Taiwan' Memorial Turns Violent as Religious Right Gains Momentum in Taiwan" by @yolingwrites.bsky.social
Sad I could not be there with my fellow Americans to protest today, but so proud of the millions who gathered NON-VIOLENTLY around the country. Keep it up guys! I'll be cheering you on from afar and doing what I can where I am πŸ’œ #NoKings
Made a new EZWay account with my new format APRC number...and now my packages are not showing up there for approval. Fun!

It was working so well for me for a while there, too...

Not being even vaguely sarcastic:

At some point, a journalist needs to ask Johnson β€œyou regularly claim you have no idea what your own government is doing. If we take you at your word, how are you so poorly informed, and do you this level of ignorance should disqualify you as speaker?”
Q: What's your message to the 170 US citizens who have been detained by ICE? About 20 of them are children

MIKE JOHNSON: I don't know what you're talking about with the children. I haven't seen that so I'm not going to comment on it.

β€œWho among us hasn’t called for the eradication of the Jews when we were children between ages 25-40? And suddenly it’s offensive to say we want to send people to a fun camp work program? Sorry for giving you a job. Be more grateful.”

"Problematic maps" πŸ˜‘πŸ˜‘πŸ˜‘
Chinese customs seized 60,000 maps it deemed "problematic" over their labelling of Taiwan and omission of territory Beijing claims in the South China Sea, authorities said. In full: buff.ly/BKgc67I

in these troubling times of great stress and great uncertainty, I urge all my friends on here to remember that the most important thing we can do in our day to day is to be nice to me in particular
Just saw an American visitor to Taiwan say that they've noticed jaywalking is a big no-no here and uh...this person has clearly not been here long enough 🀣

No, it couldn't. Once a blockade commences, industrial production and a large chunk of commercial activity will collapse. The existing power reserves could then run the island for months. The nonsense below still circulates despite several articles issuing correctives.
"This could be the Achilles’ heel of Taiwan." A Chinese blockade would quickly deplete resources on an island that depends on imported fuel. Here's a graphical look at why––and how: www.wsj.com/world/asia/c...
The Internet is too full of people making money giving advice on things they are not expert enough in to be teaching anyone.

Great reason to take advice you read online with a huge grain of salt unless you know the person knows what they're talking about.

"September 10, was the historic date when the number of days Taiwan had spent free from martial law officially surpassed the number of days endured under its stifling rule... we have parted entirely from an authoritarian regime and its shadow, and have ushered in a democratic future full of hope."

I've mostly stopped trying to discuss anything with die-hard MAGA people because the truth is, they simply don't care about the law, our constitution, or being humane.

We have to face the reality that they know exactly what's happening and they LOVE it.
Watching a guy from Belfast on YouTube and now I'm thinking that accent may have influenced how Minnesotans say "bag" and "flag" because it sounds pretty similar to me, and we're always getting made fun of for our pronunciation of those words.

I need to go Google this or something.
Remember when Republicans used to pretend to care about states' rights?

Good times.
