Not sure where these ladies live but where I grew up we never wore shoes in the house. Maybe because we had a million months of winter and it'd be pretty rude to track dirty snow all over the house. It's bizarre to me how annoyed people get about this. 👀

Ok, where is this? I'm intrigued.

Sorry, didn't mean to imply they're the same!

I just mean I've just noticed much better accessibility compared to other areas I've lived in. I can't claim to know what it's like to navigate the same area in a wheelchair though, you're right about that.

As a vegetarian who's been living in Taiwan for 13 years...1000% agree! So many fantastic veggie options from local stalls to dim sum to fancy buffets to international cuisine. It's a paradise for vegetarians!

Yes! 大腸包小腸, "small sausage wrapped in big sausage."

(But it's really Taiwanese sausage with sticky rice😅)

It depends on which city and often which *part* of the city, and also how newly developed the area is.

I live in a relatively newly developed area of New Taipei City and the infrastructure for wheelchairs is decent (I'm not in a wheelchair but regularly walk around with a stroller without issue).

I liked HK when I visited but wow. What part of Hong Kong has this person been to? I found a lot of streets and sidewalks a bit uncomfortable even as someone with no physical disabilities...👀

At this point I just assume every earthquake was in Hualien 🙈 They really get the short end of the stick when it comes to natural disasters...

I despise practically everything this administration is doing, but selling arms to Taiwan is longstanding US policy. This isn't some totally unprecedented Trump administration decision.

The real question is how long it'll take for Taiwan to get what it's paying for. The US has a history of delays in delivering weapons to Taiwan, which hampers its readiness to defend itself.

If you haven't read Project Hail Mary, I highly recommend it!

Or A Memory Called Empire. Really enjoyed that one, too.

I don't know, I think just the concept of infinity gives me anxiety 😂

ROC territorial claims in its constitution and laws are quite vague, anyway. They don't state that they're the legitimate government of all of China, Taiwan is an inalienable part of China, etc. nor clearly define ROC territory.

Taiwan is doing itself and the world a favor by toeing the line and preventing war that could drag a bunch of other countries in and create a major crisis when its chips are no longer available. A vast majority of people in Taiwan do not agree that they are or should be part of China.
