These 2 holiday cacti bloom twice a year. Once in mid-November and again in April.
They usually live on the windowsill in the kitchen.

My dishwasher sings a little tune to tell me when it is finished.
I have the extra bonus feature. Sparrow will rush in first to see what the dishwasher wants. Then she comes to tell me that the dishwasher needs me...
Sparrow cries and taps me with her paw if I don't go right away.

Water Conservation Update

Recent rain has helped, but it's not enough to lift water restrictions.

Lake Major: mandatory
Pockwock Lake: voluntary

While additional rainfall is forecasted, current conditions require continued conservation efforts.

Please keep conserving water—every drop counts!

So, Hallowe'en.
I live on a road with no sidewalks. I haven't had any trick-or-treaters in over 15 years. Just in case, I bought a bag of 25 peanut butter cups and a bag of 23 (???) Oh Henry bars.
I have 48 treats left.
