To any fascists who might accidentally happen upon my profile...

No skin off my nose. We're seeing more and more Canadian alternatives turn up on shelves as our domestic producers are able to expand their markets thanks to this boycott. Frankly, it's a win/win for us.
mindfield.bsky.social
I can see that, Vapid Response 47. Just look at all those people clamouring to penetrate his reek zone in order to get a picture with The Great Peacemaker.
bobgeiger.bsky.social
The people of Portland and Chicago were unavailable for comment on "THE PRESIDENT OF PEACE."

They're all busy protesting the war he has declared on their cities.

Welcome to Finding Out, assholes. I hope your Fuck Around phase was worth it.

Aww, sorry bud. You're all Charlie Kirk, I guess 🤣🖕
Must suck to suck
BREAKING: A young man caught in a new Politico exposé of Young Republicans' group chat where they call for fascism, abuse women, and support H*tler was FIRED. Another just got his job offer rescinded. 👏 GOOD. Consequences. More to come
mindfield.bsky.social
Love the phrasing, CNN. Makes us sound so brutal. But the fact of the matter is, yes, we ARE hurting innocent businesses who did nothing to us. Because, see, that's the point of an economic boycott. We boycott your products, you then direct blame and put pressure on the cause: Trump & his tariffs.

Stephen Colbert: the hero who never kissed the orange ass 😅

Thank god for you, Ms. Midler!

I'm sure the system will survive, but it will necessarily need to change and adapt to fix the deficiencies that allowed this to happen in the first place. This is why I hope that, sooner rather than later, the Dems can secure a House+Senate supermajority so they can actually make that happen.
baldingmars.bsky.social
Thank you. You're right, it will take decades to unto what that Felon and his MAGA minions have done (if our system of government survives).

Says the Republican who doesn't want it to work the other way round. Hochul is holding strong, and she should continue to do so. A reminder that, per capita, NY is a bigger donor state than California, so if they decided it was time to start withholding...

CNN: Are you okay with the president's threat here about pulling more federal funding from NYC if Mamdani is elected?

MIKE LAWLER: This is obviously a moment where New York needs to also work with the federal government. You gotta work with the administration.

Carney's strategic partnerships and investments are forming the basis for a huge shift in global trade, not just in terms of product, but in the systems and the methods that make and support those products, putting Canada in a prime position to shift the balance of economic power away from the US.

Anthropomorphic. That's a big word for a GOP rep. But I suppose being a humanoid sewer rat himself, it's one he'd have to be familiar with.

Rep. Pat Harrigan: "This No Kings rally -- that's the blue hair, anthropomorphic experiment that's gonna happen up here in Washington DC."

Funny how countries you are economically and, in some cases, politically hostile to don't want to buy anything from you any more, isn't it?

It's not so much him y'all need to worry about it. It's all the people propping him up, Weekend at Bernie's-style, who are really running the show from the shadows you need to focus on. If Trump goes, they'll just shove their hands up Vance's ass and Muppet him around.

I'm sorry you were turned down, especially given the current regime, but I do hope you guys make it through this hellscape and come out the other end bound and determined in unity to never let this insanity darken Lady Liberty's torch again. It's gonna take *years* to fix this damage.

Jacob's doing good work here, speaking truth to power and exposing the lies behind ICE ICE Barbie's propaganda videos. Which puts him at risk of persecution (and frivolous prosecution) from this regime. But I applaud his work and hope he can continue it as long as this propaganda proliferates.

here’s more context to the videos DHS is putting out from Chicago.

We see you, PP. Just because you were the big odds-on favourite to win the election when you were running against Trudeau doesn't mean we actually like you. It just means we didn't want him any more and there were no other viable alternatives until Carney showed up, and when he did, you tanked hard.

Every U.S. state wants to be part of Canada now, so I’m reviewing their applications.

Fifty states, one verdict per state.

Some get approved, some get roasted, and all get the full Canadian treatment.

It isn't a government at all, not in any sense Americans are directly familiar with. It's a dictatorship. Trump doesn't want to govern, he wants to rule with unlimited power, and he has plenty of enablers to help him try to achieve that goal.
just-jack-1.bsky.social
A government that targets citizens against fascism and dictatorships, isn’t a government worth keeping.

$51 million dollars

We have the money to ensure Americans get health care. We just choose not to.

Do it! Force them to unmask and wear visible name tags/badges/whatever so they can be properly identified, and prosecute every last one of them for the evil they do.

Every. Last. One.

All "gay conversion therapy" does is force LGBTQIA+ people to run to the back of the closet for fear of further torture. And it IS torture in every sense of the world. We banned it in Canada a few years back. It should NEVER be allowed again in the US or anywhere.

In today's painfully obvious news...

PP is all about the grift. He's deep in Big Oil's pocket fondling its balls, and his own political track record is basically everything he voted against while having accomplished literally nothing positive.

And that smarmy, smug face still needs punching.
peipolitical.bsky.social
Poilievre tied directly to Enbridge, Pathways Alliance, Koch Industries & the Cdn Gas Association.
It’s not surprising for a career politician who has voted against the environment 400 times in 20 years Poilievre has capitulated to every one of Big Oil’s demands
cultmtl.com/2025/04/pier... #cdnpoli
Pierre Poilievre is Big Oil’s useful idiot
With an inner circle stacked with fossil fuel lobbyists, it’s no wonder that Pierre Poilievre voted against the environment 400 times.

Of course, Vance took a slightly ... different tack. Clearly he's fine with racial slurs, homophobia, celebration of rape, and a love of Hitler. I mean, he reports directly to someone who embodies all of those things.

Energy Secretary Chris Wright is a climate change denier (sorry, "climate realist" as he'd prefer you call him) who believes CO² is good for the planet because it feeds plants so the Earth is actually getting greener because of CO² emissions.

In other words, he's a fucking moron.
atrupar.com
COLLINS: The Dept of Energy just canceled $1b for a hydrogen hub that covers Montana. Is that taking away good-paying jobs?

SHEEHY: Of course it is. We want govt to be open

C: But the Energy Secretary says he would've pulled that funding even if govt was open

S: ... Well, that's unfortunate
mindfield.bsky.social
The moratorium on evictions is good, but it doesn't solve the underlying problem, and doesn't help with businesses who lost business because they had to close due to ICE kidnapping their employees, which means they'll owe back rent that will be very difficult for them to pay back.

Robert’s’ justification for his decision, as with the rest of the GOP justices, isn’t worth the tissue paper it’s made of. They knew what they were doing, how could they not? They wanted Trump to have virtually unchecked power. Their rationale only paid reason lip service.
digby56.bsky.social
Jack Smith pointed out something important in his comments. Re: Roberts' reasoning in the immunity case Smith points out that the problem w/his logic is that he's worried about presidents being afraid to do their jobs for fear of retribution when the real problem is the one who seeks retribution.Yup
