Part of my Cage Dress series. I've been so busy with other things, it's nice to finish a proper painting again.
If you're making it for yourself then it doesn't really matter. But as a sound designer, I'm letting you know it needs some touchups before a public release. The buildup sound can be very subtle, but it needs to be there. Toss a small bit of dry reverb with a decay of like 1 second and youre golden!
I recognize the games early state, but the current click in place is in harsh contrast to the atmosphere and ambience. A sound heard often needs some kind of lead into it. Example here, a wood block with a lighter I layered over it. The lone click overpowers the soundscape

Most microscopes don’t really click into place like that though. It’s a very smooth slow precise motion. If you really want to stick with a short clicking noise, it will need to be something very subtle. When my computer is more available to me, I can dm you and give a more extensive breakdown.
Your dynamism on your poses has gotten considerably better. Very impressive, and your proportions even more so. Very clean line art, very expressive artstyle. Your stuffs solid! You should be proud.

It’s ok if life isn’t constant progress. Do what you’re passionate about, but if you gotta set it down for a couple days, that’s alright. Take the time when it’s there. when it’s not, understand that it will come again.

Could be fun if it leads the player by their current velocity to try and get a direct shot, forcing the player to go left or right while they move. Either way it sounds like a good tool to keep the player moving. Is the way to kill it to have it kill itself with its attack from above?

Tonight's project: Try to implement a little bit of my HUD concept.

Started with the crosshair, as I already had a stubbed in version. Pleased so far.

The colors are temp though. My plan is to feed the HUD into a shader that recolors it, so I need pure colors for my mask.
