Right now the best contender for the title of the series is
8-bit RPGreats

I've been working off and on on a new YouTube series on 8 bit RRGs that hold up the best for the average gamer. I have the first few games to focus on in mind, but I need a name for the series.

Any suggestions?

No, I've never played it. But I'll add it to the list of games to check out

You know, I like Catcher in the Rye but I'm not against this.

to say nothing of the obvious disregard for game history and preservation this is, it's also just face value wrong, RE3Make got its ass beat both in critic and user reviews, nobody really liked it, it's certainly not "the superior experience"

Capcom should die. Give all their IPs to less stupid people.

I'm re-reading Silence of the Lambs, it's a good book. Next on the docket is The Final Girl Support Group. 👍
The cover to The Final Girl Support Group.

It wasn't great but it was a fun enough way to spend an evening.

The rain came back immediately as I started walking home lol

The rain stopped for the day so I'm there!

All libraries rule, but I really like my local one. It has a fountain in it and it's just so chill.
The interior of my local library. There's a big fountain pool in the middle of the first floor between the videos section and the non-fiction section.

This is cool after the war on everything called “porn” by platforms and payment processors. A machine that stole all your words can generate and sell “erotica” but you can’t haaa

Oh good, ChatGPT is getting "erotica for verified adults" later this year
We made ChatGPT pretty restrictive to make sure we were being careful with mental health issues. We realize this made it less useful/enjoyable to many users who had no mental health problems, but given the seriousness of the issue we wanted to get this right.

Now that we have been able to mitigate the serious mental health issues and have new tools, we are going to be able to safely relax the restrictions in most cases.

In a few weeks, we plan to put out a new version of ChatGPT that allows people to have a personality that behaves more like what people liked about 4o (we hope it will be better!). If you want your ChatGPT to respond in a very human-like way, or use a ton of emoji, or act like a friend, ChatGPT should do it (but only if you want it, not because we are usage-maxxing).

In December, as we roll out age-gating more fully and as part of our “treat adult users like adults” principle, we will allow even more, like erotica for verified adults.

Also I tried reading The Hunchback of Notre Dame and I dropped it. I think I just don't enjoy Victor Hugo as an author. 🤷

Yeah, I'm glad I've read them but I don't know if I'd recommend reading them to most people.

Short stories don't get enough respect.

I guess I should probably just delete this.

Yeah, I didn't word my feelings too well. Someone else pointed that out, and I explained my thoughts and reasoning in this thread

My feelings are Les Miserables is not an enjoyable read and if someone who wants a good book that's based roughly around that time and some of its related political events, A Tale of Two Cities is a better book.

Ok, I've decided to go to the library tomorrow for this, even if I have to walk through the rain. I need to get more spooky books to read before Halloween anyway.

My local library is hosting an event all about New England hauntings and cryptids tomorrow and I want to go, but do I want to go enough to walk to it in the rain?

Hmmmm....
