Also struck by gov’t not being able to comment when I asked day the Board released the report, since AG’s office received it a week before. Gov’t source says ongoing worker strike likely delayed report getting to upper levels… Told AG pushing Ottawa next week to allow more virtual Board hearings.

Some hubbub on the other site about Chair being demoted the day after this scathing report published, but #bcpoli sources tell me she announced this was her last term in the summer and she is staying on to sit on review panels. Timing of long-planned OIC ahead was a bad coincidence for gov’t.
