Of the people in this clip I know which one would’ve been captain America and it ain’t the muscle head.
She gets all the flowers. I mean ALL of them. If we see her, we immediately have to give her flowers.

Listen up Boo,
I don't want this thread to be languishing at the old place, so:

11 IDEAS FOR ENLIVENING A COMICS PAGE. Some pages will just lay there, not engaging you. And if you're not engaged, the reader won't be either. Let’s talk about ways to solve that problem as artists. 🧵
Fantastic thread on comics storytelling and how (and why) things can punch up a scene by #stevelieberart

Jack Kirby: "I was raised in an area where you had a lot of gangsters. I know what gangsters do. Hitler's gonna want war. You start jumpin' around and giving him what he wants, he's gonna feed on your weakness."
MARK: So the capacity for great good and evil is inherent in everyone?
JACK: Of course. I was dating my wife at the time Hitler was coming on, and I did this editorial cartoon which showed Neville Chamberlain patting a boa con-strictor, and the boa had a bulge called Czechoslovakia. Chamberlain had just given Czechoslovakia to Hitler, okay.
And the boa had Hitler's mustache. I showed it to my boss at the syndicate and he says, "How dare a 19-year-old like you do a cartoon like that? What do you know?" I says "Well, I was raised in an area where you had a lot of gangsters. I know what gangsters do. Hitler's gonna want war. You start jumpin' around and giving him what he wants, he's gonna feed on your weakness." And Hitler wanted more and more until there was a face-off.

The president is clearly insane, is on a white supremacist government purging spree, has masked men in the streets abducting people based on their race, is trying to start a war with Venezuela, and is tanking the economy, and none of that would be apparent just going by most corporate news outlets

Friends, with Endeavour launching tomorrow it would be really cool if you could increase our bandwidth by reposting my Endeavour posts and hopefully drive some good sales on the book we have all worked so hard on.

Vaccines are safe and effective.

Autism isn't caused by vaccines, and autistic people and their families deserve our support.

When you want information, ask your doctor.

It's more important than ever for all of us to speak plainly, truthfully, and directly about public health.

I have lots of #DoctorWho art prints for sale, please check 'em out! (Reposts very appreciated!) 🙂

1) Belinda and the Doctor surrounded by red images of the villains they faced, including the two Ranis and Omega. Art by Scott Gray.

2) Ace battles a Dalek with a baseball bat.

3) Yaz and the Doctor run from flying Daleks.
The Bakshi LotR was the first time I saw a (admittedly small) cinema so full (of fragrant hippies) they were sitting on the aisles whooping with joy as it developed then crestfallen as it just stopped. I was at least ten years younger than anyone else there
And of course, you *can* break this rule if the story works :-)
Blink is a great example where the 'companion' is Sally Sparrow who we have no previous connection to and dominated the tale, making the Doctor's a secondary thread.
Love this, I am more instinctual in writing - the only time I consider structure is if working on licenced properties where there are certain unspoken rules (IE, Doctor Who where you *have* to separate the doc and companion to tell parallel stories that intersect at the end)

This is an absolute disaster for a lot of small businesses and sole traders.
About a month ago, the Trump administration got rid of the de minimis exemption, whereby packages valued under $800 could slide in without import duties. Now there's a backlog as the government can't process all of this paperwork, leading to UPS just destroying packages
Business Insider headline reads: UPS is telling customers that their packages coming to the US are marked for destruction.

More than 15% of people who voted for Brexit are dead.

Only 4% of people who voted against it are.

It is time for another vote, even if opinions haven't changed, they would lose 55-45%
