I’m listening to Boy From the Valleys by Luke Evans and loving the audio narration by him. It’s a fascinating memoir so far. #BookRecommendation

Are you working? What day is it? Who even am I?

Whatever the answer to those questions, just stop what you're doing and read a book instead. It's for the best.

Have found myself unable to concentrate on reading this week after some full-on, overstimulating days at work but I bought myself the new Agatha Christie puzzle book and it was so relaxing to just do that in from of a Christmas movie last night to unwind!

When you work in a bookshop at Christmas. Delightful, but exhausting.
Word of the day is ‘forswunk’ (13th century): exhausted by work.

I like to add ‘foreswunk’, exhausted before you even begin.

That’s a wrap on volume 2 of the Beatles songs as old, mid century film posters series. Here’s a recap of all of volumes 1 and 2 for anyone that missed them. Prints are available over on my website.

Day two of Beatle week. The next four entries in Volume 2 of ‘Rubber Saul’. A series celebrating mid century graphic design by reimagining the songs of The Beatles as old film posters. Keep an eye out throughout the week for the rest, if you’re interested in such things.

When the theatre lover is at work 💚 I’m so excited for the film and a slower day with the snow meant I could get a little creative with our displays.

Awkward hello #booksky 👋 I used to blog a lot & then I was self-employed for a while and it killed my enjoyment of bookstagram. Now I’m a bookseller and sometimes podcaster and love chatting to people about books and things.
