This is creeping dread,
haunting fear.

It’s the knock on your door
during a roundup
of those deemed different.

History howls its brutal lessons
through the centuries.
We’re not listening again.

April was super busy IRL and I didn’t read as much as I hoped. Blood Orange as a re-read, this time in audio, was so good.

Got in some good non-fiction too!

Sen. Booker’s speech was a substantive and moral account of this moment. He did not read the phone book. He did not babble.
For 24 hours @booker.senate.gov laid out a detailed, damning, and critical narrative of truth, history, politics, morality, humanity.

What will you do?
A few of these are on my TBR. I need to get to them!
I don’t plan to apply that approach to my books 😆
March was a light reading month but a really good one!

What was everyone’s favorite March reads? Have you read any of these?

100% - my friend and I said the same!
When Women Were Dragons is a fiery reminder that sometimes the only way to take up space is to transform and burn brighter.

This is fun and relevant with just the right amount of escapism.

That is one of my FAVORITES. 😍
I’ve got a hold at the library for that one!
In February I read some meaningful, important and some fun books.

Did you like any of these? What others would you recommend?

Just read this graf. Share it with people you know who don’t pay attention to politics or news.
5⭐️ I will post a review shortly but it was fantastic!

I need more people talking about that they added parts from One More Day into the epilogue

Watch 'em run amuck
Catch 'em as they fall
Never know your luck
When there's a free for all
Here's a little 'dip'
There a little 'touch'
Most of them are goners
So they won't miss much

Claiming the save act is anything other than an attack on women is gaslighting.

I’m enjoying it so far. I’ll be sure to share when I’m done!
This book is off to a good start. A poignant epigraph and then chapter one starts with this gem

“She didn’t think things could get any worse, then she saw the sign. Welcome to Florida, it read. The Sunshine State.”

- Grady Hendrix, Witchcraft for Wayward Girls
