Lucky Wales, indeed. I wish some other sinister characters on the far-right hadn't heard of us either. But Musk is the living proof that our assessments of human intelligence can be, shall we say, very nuanced.
A totally inappropriate column for a senior BBC journalist to write - or at least it would have been in happier times.
Certainly no Labour minister or MP with hopes of becoming one .

AOC, "Elon Musk is not a scientist, he is not an engineer. He is a billionaire conman with a lot of money"

Can you imagine any Labour MP saying this?

Those “holier than thou” people… they’d crucify Christ all over again for being too woke!
Yes they would. I see, too, that they (as Project 2025) want to resume nuclear testing and the arms race. Is it their bright idea to bring about the end of human life on earth? I hate to think of the answer to that question ...
Yes, we play by the old rules of politics and diplomacy while the proselytising far-right (Trump, Musk, Vance, Thiel - with their vast reach) don't. That's a winning strategy in the internet age ...
I'm with you on the Christmas to Candlemas thing, though. It's a pity there's a clash there in my case. I blame my parents ..
Ok, I'm quite a bit ahead of the curve in that case. How do I up the ante? Birth quarter, season ... maybe?
Why not birth month? I've always found it brightens up Jaunuary pretty successfully.

Notable in today's YouGov that the centre/left bloc - Lab/Green/LD/SNP are on 54%. With Reform/Tories on 43%. That's the biggest differential in a long time.

I think useful to track blocs given instability between parties at the moment.
Ah, yes. Reform, the 'mow people down with a speeding car' party.
The right (aka the far-right - there's very little distinction now) really are saying the quiet part out loud. Our real problem is not so much uncontrolled immigration, but uncontrolled racism.
Matt Goodwin attributes a crime that he now knows appears to have been committed by people born in Britain in the early 1990s to "mass uncontrolled immigration"
Apologising to the man who says he wants to invade you for what? Quoting Ronald Reagan accurately?
Appeasing this monstrous, depraved man-baby seems to be what passes for international diplomacy these days - at least for America's allies.

Just for context and Elon Musk’s claim of “widespread slaughter” in Europe. The per capita murder rate is EIGHT TIMES HIGHER in the US
Hmm, that's what we need more of: Putin-friendly parties on the left and the right along with an unpopular, hesitant & paralysed 'centre.' It's working so well in France ...

Morgan McSweeney is exactly like Brexit:

A relentlessly escalating disaster ... but the one thing that can never be questioned or changed.

Great piece from Ian Dunt.

Is it time to change the Labour leader?

The form of torture doesn't exist that would make me do this. Even when hiking, too-visible socks look disastrous, or (depending on their length) colonial cosplay - minus the pith helmet. If you see it, they're British or German.
Having said that, formal shoes without socks are just unspeakable.
God forbid they might have a (not so) hidden hard / far right agenda ...

Well done Ed Davey for clearly speaking up against Farage and Badenoch. We need more politicians like him who speak the truth. I would vote for him.
We just stopped Nigel Farage’s plan to drag Britain out of the ECHR and tear up people’s rights. Farage wanted to scrap Churchill’s legacy and bring us closer to Trump's America.

Farage gets voted down on leaving the ECHR… for now.
Ed Davey quite rightly tears a strip off him.

But really, the corrupt leader of a racist party threatening to remove our protection from abuses of power by our own government, should be the biggest red flag going.
