NIH is losing so may good people. First they were fired or RIFd or pressured to retire early.

Now they are leaving because “no longer lend our credibility to an organization that has lost its integrity.”

Proud to know these brave scientists!

Spent about 40 minutes creating my new website, and the prototype is exactly what I wanted.

I am free from the shackles of SquareSpace templates ⛓️‍💥⛓️‍💥 (and now have a new deadline for when I need to get my research portfolio up to date and live with my custom domain).

🧪 Some really important data points in here to share with others.

Over the past year, Bluesky has 5 million research posts (0.25% of the total traffic).

Compared to the 11.2 million research posts on Twitter (0.000006% of the total traffic).

Bluesky is punching above its weight!

NEW: Starting today, ICE can continue using Medicaid data in deportation cases. Last year, 404 Media and @freedom.press sued DHS for refusing to share a copy of the agreement, which gives the personal data of nearly 80 million Medicaid patients to ICE.

Now, the agreement has been released:

New blog out now about the controversial topic of hosting your newsletter on Substack.

I understand the critiques, but in an internet built around Section 230, I still think sharing ideas there can be valuable.

The right platforms for influence?
To Substack or not to Substack is a frequent question. If you do not have a huge following and the resources to manage a newsletter full-time- the answer is clear.
