Comey: "I'm grateful the court ended the case against me, which was a prosecution based on malevolence & incompetence... I was inspired by the career people who refused to be part of this travesty. It cost some of them their jobs, but it preserved their integrity, which is beyond price"

"Gas them all"

Nigel Farage said this to a Jewish pupil at Dulwich College.

But not "with intent" in a racist way.

Good old Nige would never want to hurt anyone.

Perish the thought.

Nigel Farage, "I would never do it in a hurtful or insulting way.. Not with intent"

Wrote this a couple of weeks ago. Feels more relevant still after today. And it’s a deficit of self awareness which goes far beyond some members of the BBC board.

Nigel Farage is focusing on this being half a century ago. How much teenage racism + bullying should matter in 2025 can be a matter of opinion. The testimonies make it clear that "not necessarily racist - it depends how you define it" (2013) is not tenable.

It was years ago.

Not in a hurtful way.

Not with intent.

Did you ever racially abuse fellow pupils?

Not genuine abuse.

Few thoughts after #CommonsCMS Cttee:
1. #BBC board thought #Trump edit was not only wrong in itself, but broke BBC guidelines. The news executive was willing to apologise for the edit, but didn’t agree it broke BBC guidelines on misleading audiences. That was the split that led to the resignations

Robbie Gibb says he finds the idea there's been a coup at the BBC is "offensive". I doubt he finds it nearly as offensive as I find his efforts to interfere with editorial independence or hiring decisions, but sure.

Last revamped in 2018 with £1.8 million of EU development money and another £1 million in business development cash.

Original development also received significant EU funding.

Farage, by contrast, will give Llandudno nothing but hot air and lies.

Comey and James cases dismissed. Because Lindsey Halligan.

No legitimate prosecutor would manufacture charges against Trump’s political enemies, and one willing to failed.

Authoritarian abuses don’t work without capable personnel. Or much deeper corruption of the courts, which they don’t have.
NEWS: The criminal cases against James Comey and Letitia James are gone. A federal judge ruled that the appointment of Lindsey Halligan as the lead prosecutor was illegal.

DOJ could try again, but there are other headwinds.

Trump and his corrupt DOJ have lost case after case. The goal isn't to win anything but to intimidate their targets & tie them up in court.
