As someone who’s talked myself into hanging around for gross disrespect because I was raised to be polite too many times, I applaud this.
tonight while recording a guest spot on a podcast i experienced an unacceptable level of disrespect from one of the hosts. so i decided to do what felt right for me and i left. i didn’t need to stick around to show i’m “tough” or “thick skinned.” i reminded myself that no one is owed my time.

This defeatism doesn’t help anything. We are all aware of the challenges in Texas. But the idea that you simply don’t try because bigotry is a defining feature is wrong
She's in freakin' Texas, though. (As am I, but working VERY hard on leaving.) They have issues here with democrats, women, and anyone with brown skin. I sure hope she wins, I love her energy, but again, she's in freakin' Texas.

Agreed. I want to believe in positive change, I certainly believe in restorative justice over punitive.
But at the same time, we can't trust men who abused their power this substantially to just say "sorry" and not do it again. True penitence would involve stepping away from that role.

Apparently I don't meet the clinical definition of a phobia regarding freeway driving because in Houston it's more of a rational survival instinct than an honest-to-god fear.
I'm guessing the same goes for Bostonians and Angelenos, too.

Advice for other Voice Actors:
If the video game company won't at least sign the NAVA Rider? Then you shouldn't send them an audition. I'm seeing some concerning stuff on the VAC Discord that makes me want to pull my hair out. I get it, times are tough. But do not let companies steal from you.
