- Daily Report Cards: This structured intervention establishes goals for child behaviour developed collaboratively between the child, teacher, and parents, and rewards are provided for meeting these goals. The consistent feedback provided by DRCs may also address school-home relationship issues.
- Warnings and Consequences: Offer clear warnings to allow students the chance to adjust their behaviour before disciplinary action is taken. Implement logical consequences to help the student understand the connection between their actions and the outcomes
- Allow Movement Breaks: Provide movement breaks within lessons to allow children to release excess energy and maintain focus. Allowing students to stretch and move helps prevent discomfort from prolonged desk sitting

- Leverage Interests: Use the student’s personal interests (e.g., extreme sports) to engage them in classwork and keep their minds active, as students with ADHD express a preference for relevant and purposeful content

- Pacing and Scaffolding: Pace tasks appropriately and use scaffolding (supporting instruction) to help the child progress at their own speed. Offering alternative mental stimulation when restlessness occurs can refocus attention and prevent distraction.
- Use Visual and Organisational Aids: Employing visuals helps to clarify instructions. Simple tools such as planners or digital apps can assist children with organisation and time management. Students may also benefit from tasks they can cross off once completed.
- Break Down Tasks and Provide Clear Instructions: Children with ADHD may thrive when large workloads are broken down into smaller, manageable steps. Instructions should be clear, simple (e.g., giving one instruction at a time), and repeated.
Continuing on with ADHD Awareness let's talk more about practical classroom management strategies.

Strategies should focus on breaking down tasks, clarifying expectations, and increasing engagement to counter difficulties with focus and organisation
